New addition (a person, this time)

There’s no better way to announce having a new stylist on board at Ceremony Design Co. than to show off her Featured Vendor post on Weddings Unveiled. (See it Here.) We’ve loved Ashleigh and her work since the very beginning.

Our clients will notice her avatar added to their Basecamp Project Accounts, if she’s booked for Chalkboard Art, pretty florals, and/or styling. See that bright cheery smile. We love that.

Ali + Chris

Ali and Chris were just the type of clients I was hoping we’d be able to help here at Ceremony Design Company.   They were both such casual people, who really wanted close family and friends to be at their beach house wedding.  It was quite convenient–they simply walked down the stairs of the pool deck and onto their private beach!  I loved seeing everyone on the pool deck and balconies before the ceremony…eager anticipation and enjoying the day!

It was at this wedding I learned that people really, really like to stay seated on the benches after the ceremony, drink beer from a cooler, and goof around. Good times.  I think you can see that in their pictures. (Note to self: Remind our Brides of this phenomenon!)

Are you a Do-It-Yourself-er who just needs to rent a set-up??

Is that an oxymoron? Do-It-Yourself-er who just wants to rent. Hmm… {It makes sense to me!!}

You get creative on a budget, don’t you? It’s the nature of things when you’re counting every penny. It’s also in the nature of things to take a second look at the resources closest to you! That big gas-guzzler truck starts to look awfully pretty, and you suddenly remember how Aunt Becca has always styled a beautiful table for Holidays. It’s ok—think this one over. It’s quite a deal we’ve got going.

Our brand-new “Do-It-Yourself” option allows you to rent the decor items you want, pick them up yourself and style them yourself. We even include a Style Sheet (with pictures) for each booking so that you know “what goes where” when you are placing the items at your event!

We’ve sorted our “small rentals” by Ceremony and Reception. We don’t have an option for ordering online. It’s entirely too confusing. Plus, you need our wedding set-up expertise, right? Did you remember seating for your violinist? Do you need a Sand Ceremony Table? As always, we’ll gladly help you cross the “t’s” and dot the “i’s” through the process.

Check out the selections here: DIY-Ceremony and DIY-Reception

A wedding story

Lauren, our Oct. 5, 2013 bride, put together a slideshow of the images Holly (of Holly Gardner Photography) gave her. It tells their sweet little wedding story.

Noel + Jim’s Highlight Film just released!

Take a look at Noel and Jim’s Highlights Film that was just released from Pure 7 Films. More to come on this fine couple, but we wanted to share our little tidbit a-s-a-p!

Introducing: The Kelsey

Hello Kelsey! You’re number 8 in our line-up of super cute ceremony set-ups! And….you have a very special name.

Kelsey was a recent bride whose husband, Nick, made this giant 8 ft. pergula for his soon-to-be bride. Nick is a contractor who drives a big truck and has a toolbox. Me, being in the “making pretty things” business, immediately liked Nick for this reason. The other reason, is that he was so kind to sweet Kelsey. Awww.

The original plan was to drape white sheers along each side and hang a chandelier in the middle. Then, after seeing it, Kelsey decided she liked it plain! A simple white structure against the blue ocean and sky made the perfect setting for a beach wedding.

Thanks Ms. Aislinn Kate of Aislinn Kate Photography for these great pictures. I can see their personality shine in each photo you took. And while we’re speaking of Ms. Aislinn, you should check out the “In the Press” page on her blog. It’s quite impressive with her work being featured on the Today Show, Good Morning America, Huffington Post and many more.

Thanks Kelsey and Nick! May you have many years of happiness together.

A little fun….

So many times, the apres-wedding pictures are all about sunsets and dresses, and pretty decorations. On June 1st, it was about celebrating. Plain ‘ole excitement.

Our Winner

Meet our contest winners, Lauren + Derrick!

Lauren and Derrick introduction photo

We’re going to follow these two love birds along as they plan their wedding here on the Emerald Coast. The Save the Dates have already been sent, and we’re counting down the days until October 5. (Literally counting, as in 123 left.)

First stop….Book a Photographer! Lauren wanted to find a photographer who fit her style and her budget. She also wanted an Engagement session included in her package. Holly Gardner Photography fit the bill. Lauren really connected personally with Holly! And hello, it’s hard *not* to! She’s super talented and just plain nice. Not to mention, Holly’s package prices fit in with Lauren’s budget—and included the Engagement session! Check.

Next up…Decide on the reception location!

~Renee
